An old-established beach club in Madison, CT, MBC was in former years a stopping-off point for New York Yacht Club members' yachts, on their way east. Atlantics are kept on moorings in front of the large and handsome clubhouse with its excellent facilities. In 2010 a small group of enthusiasts started a fleet which grew quickly, so much so that they were able to hold a successful national championship in 2013 and again in 2018. The fleet is home to several "cruising" Atlantics built by the now defunct Seafarer yard in addition to the more competitive Cape Cod-built boats. These beautiful boats are comfortable and fun to take for a day sail, and with their lazy jacks and roller-furling jibs, it is easy to do so.
